Hey everyone, I'm sorry in advance about being a total noob. I've been on this forum for close to 10 years reading, but never posted much of anything. I'm finally going to make my own build thread and want to do a good job, but I can't seem to upload pictures. The "[img]" tag isn't working for me even though is says that ability is turned on if I scroll to the bottom left of a page. And more importantly, all of my buttons in the New Thread page where I am typing now are busted. The ones that are visible are unclickable and the smilies and stuff to the right of this box are all broken too. I've tried many devices and browsers with no change so I assume maybe it's my account? Is there a mod I can message about this? Here is a link to a screenshot of my issue.

This forum feels so archaic and clunky compared to how anything on the internet works today, I'm honestly having a hard time using it. XD I honestly have tried searching but I'm not finding anything or I'm bad at wording my issue into a good search query. Thank you all so much!

VB Forums work better than the enshittified 2025 web IMO

But, you have to host your pictures somewhere else. Uploading doesn't work, because the server is unmaintained.

These days I use imgur because they don't put restrictions on hotlinking. Upload my images there and link them that way.

Nah I agree, the current state of the internet is an absolute nightmare. So just to clarify, I need to use the [img] tags? I tried that on another post with no luck. Gonna try here again. Thank you for being kind. I've seen the way old hats tear new people apart so I was like "big toe in the water testing for sharks" on this post. XD

YO I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! ISN'T EVERYONE SO IMPRESSED!? Now to edit for size. Now does anyone know if you can actually delete a post? I've read in the guidelines that you can in the "Edit" tab but I've also read that you in fact cannot delete a post and I can't seem to find a delete button anywhere.
