yea, and capri classics. hell yea!

At least they still use predominantly RWD cars for police cruisers. I have seen some Itrepids and newer FWD Impalas though.. that's just sad.

What is with the plexiglass on the hoods? I'm guessing wind deflectors to push wind over the strobes.

I seen a subaru STI police car driving on 15 south freeway few months ago, it was cool with the spoiler and gold rims. It has the black and white color just like other police car and has big "POLICE" sign on the front door. However, i didnt get chance to see what county does it belong to.

Aerodynamics for the lights makes perfect sense to me. Maybe Japan has a whicked bug problem and they are trying to keep em off the windshield. Its about that time again in Florida, fuck; Now I get to wash my car multiple times a week

kinda offtopic, but still is related to police cars:

yesterday on my way to work, i saw a white ford mustang with flashing red and blue's. he was passing some people on the shoulder and had lights and sirens...it was my first time seeing either a mustang cop car, or someone hooking up lights on their mustang to avoid traffic....

anyone else ever seen ANYTHING like this??

Most Japanese cops arnt cool enough to have cars in Japan. In Tokyo they just chill in a very small box with a flashing red light on the top and have bikes (As in man powered bikes, lol). I think its a good kick back and do nothing job... I would make a good Japanese cop. Hehehe

Maryland uses Mustangs as undercover cars for highway patrol. I've seen two times Mustangs pulling someone over. I am sure there are others.

Yeah, there have been pursuit special Mustangs and Camaros for a while, quite a few states use them. I know of more than a few people who bought old highway patrol fox body Mustangs back in the '90s to build into race cars.

Most of the Japanese cops who do get cars roll stuff like Y31 Cedrics or old school Crowns.
