started the car up.

as soon as it started up, it felt off. the idle was ok but the engine felt really bouncy.

i drove it around the block and it burned massive amounts of oil.

so what happened? valve? piston ring?

anyone in NJ got a low mile KA?

1995 240sx
ka24de

nothing fancy

think its a valve

started it up, rpms are constant at idle but it feels very jumpy

took it around the block

gave it some gas and let out a big ol' trail of blue smoke

if i go easy on the throttle there isnt much smoke, sometimes none.

only had 125k on it. poor ka.

Sounds like a great excuse to do an engine swap...

if only i wasn't so poor. sr power! can't really afford to wait for an engine either.

i found a 97 ka24de + tranny, 70k on it.

probably going to go for it.

then its a done deal, then maybe you can rebuild that for some ka-t

sounds like you were burning oil alright. Blue smoke/burning oil, Gray/white smoke/coolant burning.
Probably blew your piston rings. Oil leaked past your rings and went into the combustion chamber and walaaaa blue smoke.
