I just installed one and used the nissport adapter, its costly but nice. There are some other adapters on ebay but some dont have a place where the ground wire screws on and I dident come across any that were 35mm(mabe there are some that are close?). Yes the upper rad hose is that place to put it.

I like it better tapped straight into the intake mani. It looks cleaner and seems to get a much better signal. It's not much work at all, unless you don't know how to pull of the intake mani quickly. But just drill and tap right in the front of it, right around where the stock water temp sensors are and then put the mani back on, run a wire and you're done. You can even run the wire in with the engine harness and then to your gauge.

a regular 12mm socket, 2 6" extentsions, a wobble joint or u-joint and one of those retractable grabbers. It's a lot easier if you don't have the egr hooked up or the extra brackets on the bottom of the mani. With that stuff on there it can be a real pain in the ass, but without it, it's cake besides the heater core lines. But if you ever do have the mani off, i would recommend installing the water temp sensor in the manifold.

Did the same thing

Had a greddy temp sensor and used the Greddy "T" adaptor to install into the upper radiator hose to the Koyo radiator

Be careful as in my case, the upper hose was very short and had to make ur it fit just right.

Anyway, works a treat

good luck
