1/1.5/2JZ > RB26/25
JZ (twin or single turbo)You wont have trouble with the steering shaft in the way of you downpipe , 2.5l or 3l , more stroke on the jz engine = biger torque number Jz bottom end is bettre , ok flowing head ... Rb bottom end weak with oil drive isue , rb26 head flow +++more ... I saw test on flow beach on both heads I had 2 rb26 in my s14 and they blew caused by bad tuning !!! They can be good engine but you need to open them up and put big money (ex: crank upgrade and oil pump upgrade) JZ for you in the two choice you gave !

theres many ways you can go wrong. theres a reason that sr swaps are most common. easiest by far, it actually came in the car in japan, and easy accessibility to all the parts..you dont wanna be stuck with an rb25 or 26 thats missing one piece that no one has and if someone does its either expensive or jank.

it might be more convenient going with a rb since is nissan. you will already have a lot of other nissan parts laying around in case you need something really dumb though that is a minor thing to worry about and probably not a great argument. RB26 is really rare to see in a s chasis so if you want to be a little bit more unique you can go that route. 2jz's are obviously great engines so this is really just a preference choice.

This is a dumb question. Go read on both motors, find threads on swaps, set a budget and make a decision. Why does someone else need to tell you what is better for YOU?

or a VQ out of a z or g35, and on the s2k tip, j32 with s2k trany. if you're into hondas and vtec... im is.
very different to have a j swap under the hood. might even be the first s chassis |

Any whats with all the ball busters? Whats wrong with dreaming? We ALL at one point sat drolling over a car in a magzine. " Damn, one day Im gonna have that" Take what you have and improve it. Your going to blow motors, ruin shit and most of all, spend money. Start with an sr,ka and work from there. im sure you can turbo a ka for next to nothing. I know a USED s2000 motor and trans ALONE is hanging in the $4000-$5000+ range and thats with NOTHING done to it. No stroker, turbo etc. What people never put on here is how expensive this shit really gets. ya a $4000 motor is just a motor without 90% of what it really needs.
