any difference between sohc ka o2 sensor and dohc s13 o2 sensor? same question with the maf sensor? basically finishing up a rebuild on a 90 s13 ka24e and am missing the maf sensor and o2 sensor and have access to a 91 ka24de parts car, so i was wondering if they are interchangable. thanks for the help

This is a simple question you can check by calling your local parts counter or dealer. You can also look online and compare part numbers. Advance Auto Parts has a good online catalogue. Others will work as well.

For the O2 sensor I can tell you that it depends on 2 things: 1) will it thread into the bung? 2) Does it have the correct number of wires?

Not all KA24DE O2 sensors are the same, as the newer OBDII engines have 3 wires and the older ones have 1. So this cannot be generalised over the entire engine line. What you would need to do is remove the 91 sensor with an appropriate sensor socket, and see if it physically fits in the 90. Then see if it will plug in. 90 and 91 use the single wire 02 sensor so it should fit, but verify for yourself.

O2 sensors are cheap so just get a new one. Old ones are likely worn out and will make you run poorly.

As for the MAFS, I did a comparison of a 90 and 91 side-by-side, and there are some slight differences between the 2. I cannot tell you if they are interchangeable but I can tell you there is some difference in the diameter between the 2. Maybe someone else can help you.

thanks for the info. i looked and the MAFS is different. both o2 sensors are the single wire and appear to be the same, now just have to see if the bung will thread. what i was mainly wondering wasnt the fit of the sensor itself, but wether if the sensor would work or throw a code. thanks again
