it's a like a fast ticking like if there was a clock.. but louder.. not too loud tough... it can be heard from the outside tough.. i get it usually at high rpms, and it feels like its right on top of the steering wheel... like behind the gauges and stuff.. i have no ideia what that is either! very curious to find out tough!

it's your hydraulic lifters, i ran engine de-greaser (wyans?) thru the engine for about 10 min before an oil change about a year ago and it went away. Go get the stuff specifially for getting the gunk out of the engine.

Also, check your oil level or get an oil change.

"engine de-greaser (wyans?)" what is the process of doing that? my oil is fine just had an oil change about 700 miles ago.. and it's fine because i check every week! how do i de-grease my engine? what do i buy? how do i run it? i've never heard of that.... thank you

does this noise only start when you step on your accelerator?

or does it start when you start up your car?
If it does that, try to turn your key to the "ON" position (I think thats it).....so that only the accessories come on not the engine.  If the noise come on when you do that, then I think I know your problem......i think. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh:'>
