Tail light problem

Alright here's the deal...I have a 93 240sx (coupe) and for some reason I cant get the tail ligths to work at night and/or when I turn my head lights on. Every other bulb works fine including the brake light filiment in the same bulb, but I can't get the lights to come on. I had one bad socket where the wire had rotted off but I already replace it. I know its not a fuse problem(like i said the rest of the lights work fine) or a socket problem b/c the brakelight filiment in the same socket works fine. Anyone got any ideas why only the night time lights(don't know the proper term) are the only ones that don't work?

Okay, let me get this straight so I know what you're asking.

When you turn the light switch one notch for parking, or when you turn it 2 notches for headlamps, the rear parking lights don't work. Your brake lights still work though. Correct?

Do you front parking lights work? You have 2 front side markers, and 2 parking lights in the bumper (if you're running USDM front end). Do your turn signals and hazards work?

turn signals, hazards, break lights, and reverse lights all work...in the front(i do have a usdm) i have the half amber/clear and the ambers lights work cuz they're for my turn signals but the side markers in the front don't turn on(the clear portion of the front lamps aren't hooked up)...do these lights run in series to where, when one doesn't work the others won't either

So you're telling me none of your parking lights work. The front half/half should work since it's just a dual filament bulb for signal and parking.

Basically they all just run off of a single wire that's supplies power when the parking lights are on. Let me trace through the wiring diagram real quick and see.

You can d/l your own FSM from zeroyon.com as well.

On the half and half there is nothing going to the clear part(as in no bulb, wire, etc.) so I'm obviously not too worried about that...but any help you could give me would be appreciated

Yes, there's nothing there because it's just one bulb. The bulb comes on for parking and brighter for signal.

Do this for me. I know you don't think it's a fuse, but check the 15A fuse on the right row, 3rd one up in the underdash fusebox for me. I bet you that one is busted. It controls your parking lamps and interior lamps.
