quick ? about water temp gauge install
does anyone know if the sender on an autometer water temp gauge will fit the stock location for an s14 sr. I wanted to install it today but was unsure if it would fit and I didn't want to take it out only to find out it wouldn't fit...lmk
btw I know about the couplers that are available but I cant get one today. |

Autometer is U.S. standard, 1/8th NPT. The SR will be metric. So, no it won't fit. I have heard of tapping out the bleeder screw hole, but I personally would just wait and order a coupler for the radiator hose.
Install the gauge and run the wires and everything today, so it will take you 5 min once you get what you need to finish the install. |

Many vendors make the radiator hose coupler.
Or if you want to be tricky, contact the vendor in this forum: http://www.sr20forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=114 He can make a water outlet adaptor with a 1/8 NPT tap for your sender. |
