240SX Performance Modification Guide WIKI

I have created the framework for a Nissan 240SX Modification Guide Wiki. With the help of the community, this can become the FAQ to end all FAQ's. It can be a perfect "handbook" for modifying your 240SX. Please have a look:

I just started working on this 2 days ago, anyone can contribute or take away from the data, just try to keep it unbiased and informative. explain things from a neutral standpoint and leave arguments out for discussion in there proper place (message boards like this)

I also need some people to upload pictures and Illistrations that aren't copywrited. are there any experienced wiki writers here that can help? even if you have never wrote a wiki I encourage you to contribute to this project.

I helped out with that a bit but I think this book I have created allows us to compile data that goes beyond the scope of an encyclopedia definition.

That's great! I only have one problem. The premise of a wiki is anyone can update and change the information as they see fit. I would contribute if we had an editor.

if someone screws something up the wiki can be reverted to a previous edit. feel free to start adding any tidbit of info you want.

one rule of thumb is to always put a note in the bottom remarks column. also pay attention to the "talk" tab that shows what's going on behind the scenes.

Yeah but unfortunately most of that "knowledge" concerns flushness and fashion tips. So please keep that stuff on this board.

yeah I'm going to keep it away from body kits, wheels, and aero. I think that a different book might be appropriate for that stuff though..

I need a lot of pictures to illustrate the WIKI book. I can't just pull pictures from the internet because wikibooks is really tough on copywrighted images stuff I'm looking for:

300ZX brake upgrade installed pucture

A clean, OEM looking 240SX for the cover picture

A picture of a clean stock KA24DE engine bay

A picture of a clean stock KA24E engine bay

A picture of a clean stock SR20 engine bay, OEM unmodified is best

A picture of a stock KA24DE / KA24E header


lots of other stuff I can't think of from the top of my head...

You forgot to add the DC Sports Header to the list of headers.

Also under exhaust high flow CATS should be added such as CATCO high flow, Magna Flow High Flow.....
Throttle Body Boring should be added to increase HP and Throttle Responce.
ECU tuning should be added as a performance enhancer.
Engine Management systems such as Mega Squirt, Haltech, and Biki Rom.

quick note guys, when you make a modification or addition , take a look at the "discussion" tab on the top of each wiki page, this is a behind-the-scenes page that you use to explain changes or additions that you make. I saw a lot of new entiries, I'm going to go in and clean up and do some more formatting tommorow.

A little restructuring would be useful, and some of the information added lacks proper grammar and punctuation (not that I do much better), but overall a good start. I'd like to hear more in depth about suspension tuning, I'll try and scroung the internet and find some articles I can gleam some information from and try posting it.

I added some more stuff including a section for fuel management and ECU upgrades. I need a few pictures:

-A picture of a Stock header setting next to an Aftermarket header would be nice

-A picture of a Stock Exaust sitting next to a 3 inch aftermarket catback would be nice also.


also, when you write something in, please specify S13 or S14. someone wrote some info into the sway bars section and I don't know what it's for.

you can upload them directly to wikibooks, you might have to log on.

here's the format for inserting pictures:

I don't think it uses external pictures, just upload the file to wikibooks

??? what is that off of? not a DOHc KA or RB for sure.
