This topic has been covered many times. Most caulk-type sealent should work. But a lot of people tend to use 3M window weld, because of it's stiffness. There are others that are stiffer, you'd just have to do your own research on them.
I just use bathroom sealent, and it works great. No major engine vibration, nor do I feel it in the cabin either. Here is the end result: ![]() |

got tired of the clunk flop clunk wheni start my car. just ordered new mounts from performance nissan. So, i won't be going that route. I know it's been done using the polyurethane caulk.

Better off drilling a hole in the side of the mount. In the center of the rubber section.
1)drill the accordion section. 2)drain all the diarrhea looking fluid. 3)heat Window Weld to 170*F 4)inject into mount.

some of that industrial urethane designed to fill in concrete is the great stuff.
s14db method of filling in the mount is a very good idea. If not search some more.

just break down and buy some Syko Performance Custom Polyurethane mounts from me. They are a hundred better than trying to do it yourself with industrial window poly that was not designed for what your trying to use it for.

I used black urethane caulking on my civic, worked wonders. I've been considering either doing the same to my 240 or welding them solid.

I used the same window caulk as V did. My motor barely moves when I start it. Hardly shakes when I rev it. I couldn't be happier. Only cost me $14 too. You should get a spare set of mounts though. . .because the caulk takes a week to cure, and harden.
