keeping stock intake...

ok so ive got my gt2871r and it definately wont work with my stock intake rubber hose thing so i go looking for an aftermarket which hks seems like like to charge 400 for.... the thing is like a foot long(i know it comes with the nice filter... dont care!). so anyways, after not really being able to find anyone who really makes it aftermarket without wanting to charge me everything i have, i decided maybe there was a way to keep the stock intake hose thing. does anyone sell a metal bracket that steps from the stock size of the rubber intake to the new size of the gt2871r? or is there another solution im not thinking of? any help would be appreciated!

PS: if any of this doesnt make sense, its cause ive been awake for a very very long time!

or maybe check with Pepperoni's GB, I ordered on from him and everyone else who has seems to be quite satisfied with it.

just looked at the atpturbo page and that converter is for a gt28r which is different than the gt2871r. am i looking at the wrong thing? i think what im going to do is get a 2.75" piece of piping and run a 3"-2.75" silcon step off the turbo to the piece of piping and then the piping will connect to the rubber intake... sound alright?

gt2781r aluminum intake coming out next week after I get some pics and finalize prices.

Goinsleeper, I don't really recommend using the stock rubber intake unless you dont mind reducing to 2.5" size. Furthermore, the stock rubber intake may collapse when in boost due to the much stronger turbo.
