Anyone with S13 GReddy pulley kit...

I recently had a problem with my GReddy alternator pulley and wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. They supply you with a washer to go behind the pulley to prevent the pulley from rubbing against the alternator. I know I insstalled it right.. I drove about 1500 miles and then noticed some sound coming from that area. Well the pulley was rubbing against the alternator occasionally. I was then driving down the road and bam, the pulley gets jammed, breaks off and seizes my alternator's shaft. The aluminum melted inside of it. I then bought a KA alternator, put my stock SR pulley on it, and drilled out the top hole so the bolt could fit through and its fine... Has this happened to anyone else with the S13 greddy pulley kit (sr20det)?

Spacer? I dont remember putting a spacer or anything on my alternator pulley...I just bolted everything up and ive never had an issue. Ive had this set up for almost 3 yrs. Ive heard of people having some issue with their water pump pulley but not the alternator pulley.

Unless I have an s14 kit.... But I have a brand new water pump and it takes bolts, it doesnt have studs sticking out so i havent had an issue with it at all. the alternator one came with a washer to put behind it so it doesnt rub against the alternator.
