excellent, i just read some of the artical and i couldn't go on. but i know some guy in gardena owns the car, and the shop that did the sr20 swap is in torrance. guess wha guys? i'm in torrance, and guess what? gardena is next city from me, maybe i'll find this car, and urine on it, or better yet, take a shit on it. they won't see it, it's a shitty urine color anyways...

and i'd also like to add the fact that, there's a civic si w/ a s14a front end as well, on page 136 (their tuning section) as their tuning car. and for their tunning car of last month, an integra w/ s15 front and r32(?) tail light? WTF, burn these cars, and burn these magazines, they r telling the world "look, it's cool to put on stuff that don't belong on your car", i shall kill them...

It just goes to show whose the best, Nissan all the way. At every car show there is at least 2 cars with S15 lights, 2 with skyline lights, and 1 with S14 lights. Nissan rules. Only problem is a lot of people are starting to realize how good Nissans are. Especially with all these drifting articles, might I add that Sports Compact Car has a drifting article in it. So far the main magazines have had some sort of drifting coverage with at least one S13 in it. These honda boys are starting to flock towards our beautiful cars. I haven't seen the cover, but I'm wondering...
What is wrong with taking tail lights from one car and using them on another? Or for that matter a full S15 conversion on an S14? It's hard to do, but sometimes it can actually look good. Sure, that's not very often... but to blanket anyone who does that as being lame is a bit much. I give them credit that at least they're trying to do something. How is that any different than what you did with your S13 coupe? Yes, I know the Silvia in Japan came that way... but so what. All that means is it's a lot easier for your or I to do that conversion and it takes a lot less skill. What's really lame IMHO is people who put GTR badges on their Nissans... this is the Nissan equivalent of putting Type-R badges on a Civic. Heck, at least there really is a Type-R civic... we all know there isn't a Silvia GTR. I bring this up because I've seen 2 different GTR badged 240s this week. One was a really nice looking Black S14... it was sad.

I'm really hot and bothered about this whole thing. You act as if you're blaming us for seeing some ricer with GTR badges on their 240sx, like because we own 240's we justify doing that. Obviously you justify a civic putting Type R badges on...(maybe because your civic has one?) where we completely dislike that. The 240sx has potential to be a crappy ass piece of rice, or a sophisticated automobile. Don't blame us because people on the Civic Scene (No I didn't say import scene, I said Civic Scene) influence people with other imports to do stupid shit to there car like buy chrome rims, put LED washer nozzles, paint there windshield wipers, put GT style wings, put outrageous body kits, oversized "banner" type stickers etc. Blame us for being cold hearted and uneasy to accept others...because thats the way it should be when you are living in a retard civic society. I'm sorry for bashing the civic so much... since you own one and all...but it's not the Civics themselves that do wrong, hell I love having slow cars on the road it just makes me feel faster, but rather the people that drive them and do stupid shit to them who i COMPLETELY HATE.

Stupid sh!t is a state of mind. One man's treasure is another man's trash. I agree w/ Yosho about the GTR badges - but not to the point of a Type R badge... and I don't think he was pointing a finger at anyone on here. I don't see anything there worthy of ire... and actually, an interesting point about the Silvia conversion. I think too many of us like to bitch about the Honda boys putting parts on their car that don't belong and like to think that it is so different when we do it. The case of Silvia badges has been argued here more than once. I think a Silvia badge is just like a Type R logo.
My only offering in response is that unlike the s15 front or Supra taillights, the Silvia front end actually *fits* the car w/o clearly looking like another car. It is neither a rip-off, nor out of place. IMHO, the s15 does not match the lines of the s14 AT ALL (a little better on the s13, but still off - and then out of proportion also). Personally, I find most appearance mods distasteful... that is my preference. My dream car (240, anyway) looks just like my present car... it just happens to drive like a race car. No wings, no wheels, no kit, no tint, no fart can, etc. Unlikely - but that would be my goal. Maybe a bit lower (1.5" for aesthetics), but otherwise, I like sleepers. Other people need lights with funny shapes or colors to make them happy. This doesn't make me better than any one and I'm not pointing any fingers either, it's just my opinion. Oh - and that honda community that you hate includes many people that have done more performance, handling, driving, and racing than you ever will. I could give you a laundry list of people that could hand you your a$$ on any road course w/ 75 hp. Hate the playa, not the game. |

Sleepers are the reason I got into the 240. When i first strted looking into it, 240s were not really known that much. When I found out it was RWD and saw the S14 I loved the looks. Then as I kept researching the SR came about. I figure getting an SR in an S13 you have a perfect sleeper, no external mods except fmix, and lowered. Although sleepers are cool I always loved the look of the CWest Kit with Konig Imagines.

I dunnow what the fuck are you guys bragging about. Maybe it's just that i live in a retarded state, but i don't see alot of s14 240s around, and the s13s are as stock as they come here. Maybe it's the privelage of florida and cali, but i guess the rest of the US can sleep at piece.... And just wondering, how much do you think all those conversions cost? Do you think people that drive riced out civics can afford a silvia conversion? Or people that really drive 240s would put a supra taillights on? Don't think so. As for gtr badges.... as i said before: blame maxima.org
