yes you can  you just have to swap out the speed sensor from the 93 trans with a speed sensor from a 95 and up 5 speed. If you need a 5 speed ecu which you will I have one. Oh yeah there is a faq I wrote in the faq section about tranny swaps. check it out.

Drift Freaq-

Thanks, I just read your FAQ...
The trans has 140K on it. Could you tell me what you think I should replace besides the clutch? Also, how much do you want for that ECU. Where would I find a speed sensor???

well I would not put in a tranny with 140 thousand miiles on it in my car. especially if my car was a 98. Look for one with lower miles on it and email me about the ecu

You should prolly install a clutch pedal and master cylinder, that'd prolly come in handy <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Okay, I was doing some searching and I found this post that relates to my question.

As far as putting in a high mileage tranny, say 140k, what could be the worn components? Gears and shift sensors? I was thinking about going to my local junk yard and getting an s13 tranny for my 96' when I do my swap soon. However, I am anticipating a bad tranny, so I am planning on spending a couple hundred on getting it rebuilt. Does anyone know what parts are necessary for a rebuild? I am planning on taking it to a shop but I don't want to get burned. Basically I don't want them to use old or worn parts, cause really how am I going to know if they really put in new parts?

Also how much should I expect to spend for a rebuild?

Thanks for any help.
