i got a very bad gas leak from the rear of the car. It only leak when key is ON and when key is on OFF it stops..where to check first? fuel pump area? do i have to remove my gas tank?

when the key is on the ON position, the fuel pump is on...when its on the OFF postion, the fuel pump stops...check the fuel lines for fractures and such...

if it is an s13/s14 just pull up the rear carpet and you sould have access to fuel pump. you do not have to remove tank.

Check the fuel pump gasket. Those usually break and gas fumes leak into the car.
