s14 keyless entry question, i searched but nothing like my problem that is happening.

ok ... my keyless entry used to work.. well i didn't have a remote back then ... and now i got the remote. thing is ... it used to lock after a few second on it's own .. now it doesn't.

the security light works but nothing...

so i get this remote... and try to program it.

the problem is... that after i get in my car, lock my doors, and then insert the key in around 10 times in under 10 seconds nothing happens.

so i do it 15 times under 10 seconds nothing.

am i inserting the key in wrong ? i mean can that be possible? can i be that stupid? i push it in the hole and out ... i dont' know

anyways my hazards do not blink. so i look under to see the control box if the wires are bad, they are all good, i check ALL my fuses.. nothing is blown. i checked the relays NOTHING~ so i do this a MILLION times... NOTHING...

:: BTW :: i got a new drivers side door so my drivers side keyhole does not work because i do not have a key for it. can that be the cause of the problem ? ... but they wouldn't have anything to do with the reprogramming of my remote right ?

please help thanks... and sorry for making it long.

Ever try reseting your keyless program?
Quote:
Step 1: Get in your car and lock all doors.

Step 2: Stick the Key in the Ignition up to 6 times within 10 seconds (Fully in and out) If you do this correctly your running lights should blink a few times.

Step 3: Stick the key in right after your car blinks and turn the key to accessories...

Step 4: Hit your door unlock button (the car should blink again)

Step 5: Turn off key and open the driver door.

Step 6: Now close your doors and see if remote works.

Hi,

which step is it that you have to press any button of your remote once?

I was told the same procedures as you described.

Get in car and lock with the lock switch on driver door panel.

Put in the key 6 times very fast (fully in and out) and then the car's turn signals will blink twice.

Reinsert the key right after and turn it to "acc".

Press any key on the remote once (and once only).

Take the key out, unlock the doors with the switch on driver door panel and open the door.

This should reset it.. i tried and got the signals to blink when insertting and removing the key, but the remote didnt get programmed...

Any one else got an input?

THanks.

You've got a bad remote or battery in the remote.

just came back from a not-so-fun sex session with my car...

friggen i tried everything ...

first i got in ... closed the door, used the door lock switch, had sex with it ... full out intercourse... NOTHING from her...

NOTHING

so next i tried locking all door manually, and then did the key thing... NOTHING

it's driving me nuts... and my fingers hurt... i might have damaged the ignition switch now wriggling around in it haha

does anyone know how to diagnose if it's the control unit? ... like a specific voltage i should see with it out... running off of an external power supply? other than checking all the sensor voltages with the door open and closed? ... thanks
