Help me diagnose my S13's problem

Well I picked up my 91 S13 coupe today and of course if has some problems.  He did tell me I need a new brake master cyl. and clutch?
Brake pedal goes straight to the floor, and it won't hold any brake fluid.  
Shifter is very hard to get into gear and I mean HARD!  but seems after a few seconds of warmup it goes in 1st gear ok.

Whats up, with the master cylinder and brakes problem,   it might be a loose nut on a line, and it just sprays fluid when you push the pedal, and if not, you can rebuild the master cylinder, it is seriously extremely easy, i think 4 bolts to take it off of the brake booster, then there is a piston hold screw in the cylinder itself, a snap ring, and just replace a few cup seals inside of it, then bench bleed, and bleed all lines, took me I think like an hour.  As far as the clutch goes, I think it is just a throw out bearing, but if its all going to be ripped apart you had might as well do everything. later
