Intercooler indecision

Heres the deal. I had a greddy FMIC that was with a hard pipe kit form greddy, my intercooler was stolen so now i obviously need a new one. I cant find just a greddy or Trust intercooler so im looking into Ebay intercoolers, i know i need a core size of 24x12x3 or total size of 31x12x3. But i was wondering if anyone is using Ebay intercoolers(im sure a lot of you are) and what one from what store should i look for.Im wanting a bar and plate so any input could help me a lot.Im iffy on what pressure drop to expect and how the beads are on the pipe inlet/outlet. thanx

No, an intercooler is not an intercooler, but for your needs, an eBay one will work just fine. I personally run an ARC intercooler, but I know a lot of guys running the SSAC or Hybrid FMIC kits wil great success.

See if you can find KTS intercoolers on EBAY. They are (un)badged Trust/GReddy VSPL intercoolers. Thats what I have. Bought it almost 2 years ago and no problems at all...it is a Greddy, made at the same spot so I am told...oh yeah and I hope you dont think they make them in Japan they are made in China man...

See that is why ARC is so bad ass: Made by artisans in a 150k sq/ft facility in JAPAN jk

But seriously, most of the kits out there are just cheap cores that the companies jack the price up 300% over cost on. I see to difference in the $500 eBay special and a $900 GReddy or Blitz one (and I have looked at all 3)

What about the ones on ebay for $100? (Not to threadjack, but I'm thinking about replacing my smic with fmic. Example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GIGAN...24118054QQrdZ1 tho I prob just get a 'kit')
