Anyone drift on 14s? How is it?

Just curious because it would give the car more "power" by changing the final drive, but also more twitchy and revved up... Of course I'm assuming you use tires with a side profile less than 75 or something...

i had a pair of 14s once

they put my car way too low, and they looked wicked gay

dont bother with it unless you have a bunch of free rims or somthing

i do, 185/60/r14 fualkin zeix 512s in front, junkers around the same size in the back it does ok. run the pressure a little high cuz of the crappy sidewalls. and only do it if your runnin KA, more then 180hp on 14s would be rediculous.

back2topic... 195/50/15 < 185/60/14
the 195/50/15's are pretty fun and really easy to spin

coo, thnx for the feedback. The main reason I was asking is because I see some good deals on rims sometimes, and tires are dirt cheap brand new! Yeh, I like to save money... I don't see as many deals on 15" rims for some reason. Too many Hondas pushing up the prices I guess :/

I've tried 17s before. It's decent, but like some one said, it's pretty hard to stay sideways for a long time with stock KA. Believe me, I tried at Altamont's small bank. I have some 16" rims, but cant find cheap tires... so that's why Im looking at other options. If you can't tell, I like to get cheap tires :]

I love my little truck motor, spins 17's in second. And still pulls harder than an sr boost for boost.

As for 14's on a ka, the price for the rims might be good, but can you find decent tires in that size local?

Next time you need tires, check out Mission Tire in Redwood city if you're in the area.

14s on a carolla is more practical than on a 240. I think 15s should be standard, but it obviously can be done on 14s. Remember you need traction as well, if it was just about breaking traction migh aswell run 13 inch tires. My buddy drifts well with his 17's. Wide tires as well on his KA. I use 15's cuz i have 12 of them and tires seem to be decently priced for how well they perform.

16 inch tires are probably a b!tch to find. I'd say try to borrow a set from some1 and see if you like 14s or not. But I think you would like 15s better imo. Good luck. Hope i helped.
