VPC or Power FC Question
I want to get a VPC but the 550cc injectors are making it hell. RHDJapan has not even seen a VPC with the 550cc injectors. Is there a way to get the vpc to work with the 550cc injectors some how. The guy on turbo magazine got 750cc with a T78 turbo and a vpc with a rom tune. I got the Bad Biki board. What do you tune it to to interact with the VPC. Is that even possible? RHDJapan offered me a Power FC for my E5 ECU with the D-Jetro map sensor. Do you need to tune your car when you plug that in, or if you select 550cc Apex injectors and the map sensor, the car will run almost perfect???? I mean the Power FC is over $800, i dont think i can afford a tune after i buy that.

The VPC has a ROM in it that can be recalibrated for different sized injectors. Off the self ROMs can be ordered from HKS or a custom one can be made by someone who knows the format of the VPC ROM. I had this done when I ran 550cc injectors on my old MR2, however, I can't remember where I had this done.
You could also retune the factory ECU for the 550's. All things considered tho I would definitely go with the DJetro setup though, better map resolution than the factory ECU and eliminates the VPC entirely.
