exhasut set up questions
meh, ill probably get alittle flamed for this but this is my exhaust setup for christmas. sorry for the noob question. hopfully im not making myself look stupid
![]() headers http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...50800739QQrdZ1 test pipe http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Strai...52646862QQrdZ1 cat back http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/N1-89...55533041QQrdZ1 now i know its ebay but it fits my parents budget. but since its ebay i know im might have some fitment problems but overall should be able to fit. now the cat back it 3 inch and the test pipe and headers have a 2.5 inch outlet. so ill probably have to have a shop adapt the test pipe to the cat back or is there a way around that?. lol muffler clamp? but the only way i see that working is cutting one end off the test pipe and the cat back. i wanna make sure im ordering the right stuff so any help will be apprieciated. thanks |

well ive looked around at getting one made i should say "remade" meinike sucks, and i got quoted about 200-300. im thinkin i can get a test pipe made with 2.5 opening on one side then a 3 in on the other side. ive got a 3 in exhaust from the stock headers back with a cat and resonator but im not happy with it. it wasnt tigwelded and the shop burnt a hole through my canister and theres leaks around the cat and it hangs to low. plus it doesnt have that solid sound i want. stainless steel mandrel bend iping all the way back kinda has more of a deeper solid tone to it.

well i want it tig welded and the only place that will do that in town is a shop called A&B which is really expensive. i could go and get a cheap one made but then id have to risk gtting an exhaust that i got right now, crappy lol. ill will only be loud for alittle while. im gonna run the silencer until i can relace the test pipe with a cat or resonator.

If it was normal aftermarket exhaust, then you wouldn't have a problem matching it up.
But since your links are broke more than the average s13 owner it's hard to say. Chances are you're talking about SSAC. I've herd from some people that their exhaust it good, and from others that say it fits horrible. It won't sit very close to the chassis. I think if you get the 2.5" test pipe, to a 3" exhaust, it will fit fine. No need for clocking and resizing. Unless those kids welding up the exhaust were high listening to Mac Dre on a friday afternoon with nothing to eat.
