i wonder what i did!?!

I have a 92' SE coupe and i was cleaning my interior and i guess i must have bumped my HUD(which has never worked) and all the sudden when i started my car to go to work it worked for the first time since i have owned the car, which was very exciting. However, as i drove for about 5 minutes it faded away and turned off again. Anybody have any ideas on what to do. I've searched but haven't found anything similar to this or anything that helped so i would appreciate it if someone had some advice. I would really like to have a working HUD!!

If it turned on when you bumped it, it stands to reason that you just have a loose connection somewhere.... follow the wires...

ok so heres an update. I originally said it died shortly after i started my car the first time. I just left work and when i started my car as i was leaving it worked again but only for a short ammount of time like i said earlier. Then i pulled up to a stop light...turned off my car and turned it back on again and it worked AGAIN but this time only for about 5-10 seconds. Are you sure this is a loose wire or could it be a faulty capacitor not storing electricity?

probably still a loose connection, just take out the bezel around the cluster then take the cluster out to get to the hud wiring. or it could be something simple. have you checked your fuses?

No I haven't checked them but i could do that too. I just thought it was something to do with the wiring cause it got bumped then magically worked. I'll check and write something back. Thanks for the help

It is the capicitor which is broken.

I can repair this hud problem, but it is expesive and invasive. I can repair it for you for $200 w/ return shipping included.

Make sure you pull the cluster out, and test the pigtail harness first.
