ok i hit something while sliding sideways with my car, and it hit my rear tire, now it wabbles when i drive i took it to a rim shop they said the rim cant be fixed now he tells me that he couldnt get one of the lugs off and that it broke the bolt! so he says "you can drive home on 3 lugs" im like uhh... so anyways my question is do you think that its just the tire that is bent?? and were do you think i can take my car to get a new bolt put on the hub so i can have all 4 lugs again??

Well if you have steel rims they can be hammered out. If they are alloy its pretty much gonna cost you a new rim.
For the bolt thing Id call and ask you local Nissan Dealership to see if they have the part. Bolt shouldnt be too expensive and hopefully someone on here would know how to replace it.

Fuck the dealership, just call up a local parts store and tell them your application and they will give you a stud, washer, and lugnut for a lot less than what it would cost you at the parts desk. As for the installation, you will get raped if you have a shop do it for you; if you can take a caliper off you can get the new stud on. It's a lot easier if you have an impact gun though, and I mean a lot easier.
Bottom line, if you can afford the forty bucks they'll charge you to put it on, go for it. But if you don't want to pay that and think you can do it yourself, go for it. |

Umm... wtf u guys, what if his suspension linkage is screwed? He said he drifted into a curb basically... that could entail bent control arms, carrier, bad bearing, torqued hub... c'mon now...
How fast were u going? Be CERTAIN it's just the wheel that's broken, or JUST the broken stud, otherwise you could not only ruin the wheel/tire, but potentials damage yourself and the car if the suspension is damaged. |

No i was drifting a deserted road when my tire went off the road a little and hit a rock, all of the control arms and suspension is fine looking im gonna check it all tomorrow... i hit the rock at about 10-15 MPH. and the rim was bent during the hit and the guy at the shop was going to check it out when he couldnt get the lug nut off then he forced it and snapped my stud off the lug....

Let me know if I am way off here, but If he broke something on your car that was not already broken I would see abou getting it fixed at his cost. Doesn't seem right that the repairman broke somethin that wasn't already broken. or was it already broken? Thats my .02

Joey</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> Ok, you're way off here. Lol. The tech working on the car didn't break the stud/nut... it was already F'd when he took the car in. The damaged part broke while it was being removed. Why should the guy working on his car in good faith pay for that?
