First try bolting the steering wheel back on and yank real hard. Don't slam yourself in the face.

If that doesn't work, take the steering wheel back off and get a pulley puller.

You can purchase a hub puller at pepboys. They aren't that expensive. I'd let you borrow mine but you live kdindof far.

its the cheap easy way. unless u hit yourself hard enough u got a doctors bill. but try it and see if it worked u might have to have the wheel locked and turn left and right then pull and repeat. till you get it. works for me.

Damn an Edcel post, this thread is blessed! =P

You're looking for a 'penetrating lubricant', there are a few out, but check Autozone. It's ideal to try to loosen it with the lube, and use the wheel to break it. If you have to get a hub puller, as said above, they're cheap ~

I found that, smacking the wheel at four point works great, slides right off!
I think G6 uses this method too!

Yes, I gently tap the wheels with the palm of my hands from different directions until it comes loose. It was good enough to remove a 16 year old steering wheel.
