s14 97 motor into a 95

I recently wrecked my 97 240sx 5 speed and purchased an auto 95. I want to put the 97 ka24de motor into my new ride but was wondering what kind of stuff do i need to make this work because of the obd differences. i done some research and all i can find in converting the ob2 motor to obd1 is changing the intake manifold. if theres anything else i need to change on the motor to convert it to obd1 let me know. thanks

haha i know i would always read about why s14 kouki's are rare and i contributed to it. wanted to start off the new year with a "bang" but not that kinda of bang that fucked up my car. as far as parts go i got my whole car still so i should have everything to do the swap but i dont want to convert my zenki to obd2.

You do not need the ECU.

Keep the 95 intake manifold, or just plug all the extra vacuum outlets and use the CTS and TPS.

put your obd1 manifold on the new motor. and run an aftermarket header for obd1 or a stock header for obd1.

Just swap the intake manifold over and drop it in and you should be good to go.

No, it's not. Not unless your OBD port is beside the hood release cable. Show us a picture of the port location and the last eight digits in your VIN. You'll either find it's not where it should be or you're driving a 96.

I did this swap as well. Clean swap (1 day) for me, just some vacuum lines i had to tie up/plug off around the intake plenum. Gave me a chance to "weed-out" and reroute some lines . I used my stock ECU, and it runs great!! Still need to Dyno her but it feels 100% better than the old 190k KA .
