you need to get an maf adaptor plate that connects onto your mass air flow sensor and then connect your filter to that. check out ebay they are always on there.

Is it for an S13 or S14? I dont know much about the S13, but on the S14, i believe your check engine light will constantly be on and you probably wont pass emissions. I believe K&N sells an adaptor for the MAF sensor to be used with a K&N cone filter. (someone please correct me if i'm wrong)

I have no personal experience with this, but I think that youd have problems w/out a MAF since the ECU expects thta signal. Youd almost definately have the check engine light one, and the engine may not run smoothly.

PDM-racing.com has them for cheap. Check ebay, if you're feeling lucky.
hell, go to homedepot, get some sheet metal, and make your own.
Have fun,
Jeff

Dude I have much experience with the Mass aif flow sensore......YOU TOTALLY NEED it and your car will NOT run without it. As the others suggested, you NEED the adapter which can find on e-bay. actuall retail price is about 40.00 dollars. But in any case your car needs MAF...trust me i know...Good Luck

how is the car supposed to know how much air the engine is taking in without a MAFS? How would it know how much fuel to add?

www.240sx.org has an install write-up on an aem short ram intake for the S14...I'm sure it's mentioned in there what to do with the sensor attached to the airbox.
