first pull out each spark plug wire one by one or disconnect the injector harness from the injectors to determine if its an injector. the cylinder that does not caus the car to lose a noticeable loss of power is your suspect. or if you have an ohm meter ohm out your injectors. the first way is the ewasiest though and quickest.

hmm..........sounds like a similar problem to the one i have. does your car run like absolute shit at low rpm, but when you get above like 3 it's fine? is throttle response just horrible at idle? are the idle rpm erratic? is there a slight backfire when decelerating in gear around 2500rpm? because those are all the symptoms of my car right now. which was initialy thought to be just a missfire, but it turns out that for some odd reason the car is pumping so much fuel into the cylinders that it floods itself out and stalls when coming to a stop sometimes, the tech said that fuel is actually getting back into the intake manifold. he said he's never seen anything like this before in his life. also asked if i had an aftermarket ECU, which is what i suspect it may be, because nobody can figure out why this is happeneing.

lawrence, any ideas?

Hmm I had a stuttering problem when accellerating between 2400rpm and 3500rpm(all gears). I purchased a walbro 255lb fual pump(why hold back &nbsp$100. Well this did not resolve the issue.
I then purchased new spark plugs and wires. again did not resolve the issue and cost some dollars.
I finally threw my hands up and got mad... then asad said "try replacing the O2 sensor since other people are having this issue and no one has any idea". Well guess what that $20 dollar part resolved the issue. my 240.....

all the way into your intake? wtf? did you try checking the injector o rings just to make sure? maybe its something as simple as that? shoot i dunno never heard of something like that but i'll ask a couple of the master techs at work tomorrow.

glad to hear at least you isolated the problem somewhat travis i remeber your thread but it just dissapeared and never knew what happened.

keep us up to date coastek, and travis i'll see if i can find anything out for you

thanks lawrence......

anyway........the only way we isolated the problem was by way of me spending 100+ bucks for cap/rotor/wires and it not doing anything. he said he had some spare time and checked all the "simple stuff," which probably just means sensors, and i dunno what else, maybe some electrical connections.

i haven't decided if i'm gonna take it in yet or not. because i know if i do it'll be there for a couple of weeks (just got it back after being in the shop for 3 weeks), and i have one last track event this weekend, so i doubt i'd be able to make it if i tried to get it fixed before the event. unless through some act of god i'm able to fix it myself.

did you or him even check the fuelpressure? i beleiv i mentioned that in your post travis. start with that you can do that yourself instead f taking it in to the dealer.

but iirc you have that extended warrenty and your good friends with the dealer owner or something right? up to you if you get the service for next to nothing thn go ahead if not diy! i woul d still do it myself cause thats just me and im hardheaded and a idiot at times who likes to fudge around with things.

Pretty much everyone covered what needs to be done, I just have one comment.

CoasTek240, you've been here long enough to know the different forums, us members that have been here longer have to lead by example and post topics in the correct forum, this really should have gone in tech talk...not to be an ass or anything.

Try changing the Fuel filter first. At less then $10 you cannot go wrong, plus, even if it isn't that, good to change anyway.

word. ive got the same problem. ive done everything and havent been able to figure it out. ive changed o2, wires, plugs, rotor, cap, tried different oil weights, and nothing. it still does it. have u ever left it in like 2nd gear and then let off the gas completely like at 10-15 mph? like i try to leave the car in gear as long as i can before hitting the clutch to keep it from stalling, anyways, i got good at 1st gear, so i do it in 2nd now (i do this just for fun, no wait, it makes me a better drifter ) well when i do this, the car like accelerates by itself? like, it will jump forward and let off, like im stabbing the throttle really quick? not full throttle, but likea 1/2 throttle stab... so, try that out and see if you do the same thing. we might all have a similar problem. i smell heavy gas often in my car. so i think its fuel related as well. could be regulator maybe? bad sensor? (TPS, MAF?) or injectors? what about the gas reciruculation device? its got lines running ot the intake manifold and the gas tank, maybe something clogged? lets try and solve this guys...

ok.. i tried what campain said.... i took out all of my spark plugs, and i dried them off.. i noticed however the third one was a little wet w/ brown stuff. then i looked in the niche where the wires go down to the plug and there was a little liquid in there. so i blew it out with a shop vac.. and test drove the car.. it was fixed . i was soo happy.. it was perfect then i was going around a turn and it came back agian... i thnk the water go in there again.. there is a little stil left. i need to get a compressor and spray it out. whould water do that?.. alos i figure i should replace the spark plugs. so i will be geting bosch super platinum plus four. but i'm stil not sure tell me if this is a good idea
