Respraying My Car but I Need Some Help

At the end of last summer I sprayed my car BLUE. I really don't like the color, it came out alot lighter than expected. I've finally decided that i'm just going to repaint it BLACK. Now my questions are....

-I know im suppose to scuff it before I repaint it but what grit is the best to use and what is the proper method. Or can you use a scuff pad???

-Do I need to Re-primer it?? or just paint the black on top of the scuffed blue????

Please don't answer these questions if you have NO painting experience.
Thanks

400 GRIT Use a flexible sponge sanding block and wetsand it. You dont have to reprimer. You just need to scuff down the existing paint so that it has a non gloss finish. The new paint will stick to it better.

Pitch - Ty for the response. Thats what I've been told, I was just making sure on getting other peoples opinions.

Royal - You are a dickhead who can't read very well. I have some painting experience. I was just confirming.

fuck im too lazy to even wetsand lol

i just grab a red 3m scuff pad and go at it. but wetsand will make it turn out a little better, just kinda depends on how straight the clear was cut before you started scuffing it.

depends on what kinda paint was on there before....if it was some cheap paint i suggest you sand it with 320, then seal it before you spray...if it was pretty descent, then go ahead and start wetsanding the body with 600 grit.

Depends on how good of a job you want and how much time you're willing to spend. You can wetsand with 600 or you can be lazy (I myself am...) and take scuff pad to it.
