So my "TAVORN" Wastegate sat real low to the ground under the car and must have hit something because the middle bracket on it shattered, causing it to become stuck open, no wonder the car sounded like it was open downpipe and would only boost to 7psi.

So i measured up the flange on my custom manifold for the external wastegate that bolted up to the Tavorn wastegate, i now however want a Tial.

Is there a Tial wastegate which has a flange that matches up to this? If not, does any reputable wastegate company have one?

thanks in advance, bud.

It looks like the Tial F46 46mm Wastegate will bolt right up, am i right?

the most current and popularly sold Tial 44mm wg are using a V-band flange with a clamp to match.

The older 40 mm tial looks more like that foot print.

Not sure otherwise.

Call cheapturbo and ask about it, ken is pretty helpful, shoot him an email iwth that image.

EDIT: i am such a bitch, the diagram was on the tial website this whole time...

i'm gonna go measure now.

EDIT EDIT: doesn't fit. the tial bolt holes are closer together.

im sure there would be some way to slot or oval the bolt holes if that is the only difference in flange size

i can drill, and i can weld, and i have tools for both.

i am just far too lazy, lol, and if possible, a bolt up option would be far less annoying.

updateeee:

i made an adapter which let me keep the flange on the external wastegate, but still kept the vband on my new Tial V44 usable, i then painted it with high temp paint so it wouldn't corrode, see picture below.

cars performance is night and day with a properly working wastegate, who would have guessed?
