i like torque! I want torque! what would the affects (on torque). Different setups, both cat-back exhausts have the following in common!
- goes straight, no bends like the stock
- beggins with a hi-flow cat
- ends with a straight muffler, some racing kinda muffler, you know, with the tip (single) being over 3 inches, maybe 4 inches!??

Here are the different "middle sections of the setups"

1- straight 2 1/4? straight 2/ 1/2? straight 2 3/4? affects on torque of each of those? Take into consideration the other characteriscs i mentioned above.

2- going 2 1/4 inches, and it would then increase to 2 1/2 or 2 3/4!<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> What would that do to torque? and hp? Take into consideration the other characteriscs i mentioned above.

3- And the other way around, begginning with 2 3/4 or 2 1/2 and halfway it would decrease to 2 1/4. What would that do to torque? and hp? Take into consideration the other characteriscs i mentioned above.

Thank you, I'm getting a custom exhaust this month, and would like to know the answer to this so i can make the right choice!

hmm, &nbsp;seems like you are new to 240sx/ &nbsp;performance. &nbsp;if your trying to keep good torque best thing is to not get a straight through exhaust, get a 2 chambered exhaust system, it flows lot more than stock, but it is little flow than a straight through. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;HOnestly, &nbsp;240sx's &nbsp;naturally aspirated dont need straight through exhausts, especially if you have a high flow cat. &nbsp; 240sx's naturally aspirated will never be able to be made much faster. &nbsp; &nbsp;trust me , Im on my second 240sx. &nbsp;been through all that exhaust stuff. &nbsp; if i were you, i would invest in a Greddy Power Extreme exhaust. &nbsp;not too loud, very good performance upgrade with HP and torque. &nbsp; if you try a custom piping from a shop with a muffler, your gonna hate it very fast. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; well i now have a 92 240sx Turbo- t3/t4. &nbsp; turbo cars need straight through mufflers becaue they flow a LOT OF AIR , muffler restriction, restricts air= making it weaker. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; STOck engine cars-- liek 240sx KA24de - &nbsp;dont flow much air. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;sorry if you dont like what i said, &nbsp;but i am just helping you out man. &nbsp; &nbsp;so that you dont go through all the pain that everyone else basically has with their 240sx.
