1991 Toyota Cressida 2JZ-GTE NorCal $5000 Updated w/ photos

Regretfully, I have to sell my new toy. Its an all stock Cressida with an all stock 2JZ from an Aristo auto tranny. Unknown year engine.

The bad news:

It has a blown headgasket. I am nearly positive. Could be something else but I really doubt it. Runs fine, starts easy, makes tons of power, but is loosing coolant and has a few bubbles in the radiator.

Otherwise the car is just a typical Cressida: Everything works. Interior is ok but not great. Exterior is fine but has a few minor dents. Normal stuff for an aging car.

I don't have the time or money to fix this car so I have to sell it. I am pretty pissed about it but thats life. Things just arn't going my way right now.

No photos right now, but I can have some tomorrow and will update the thread.

I can do a compression test, but I don't know when I will have time. I have a midterm due and about 600 pages of reading this week alone.

I don't know how to do a leak down test. Do I need special tools? Because I won't be buying them.

I invite you to come perform any test you wish and inspect the car.

Update with photos. Its been a while but I am really that busy right now.

If you buy this car as is, you have two options. One, fix the headgasket. Or two, buy a new long block. I have already found a longblock. Ask me about it. Its a lot less than paying to have the headgasket done. Swapping engine blocks is a lot more work, but its actually easier than doing the headgasket I think.

The price is negotiable, and I am open to trades plus cash.

Thanks guys!

I really wish I could keep her. Full time school + no steady job = selling toys. Next for sale will be my 1970 240Z, which I want to sell even less

If I had income, I would just fix it myself and keep it. Its really comfortable to just cruise around in. The primary turbo gives you 5psi pretty much on demand, next to no lag. Feels like a comfy car with a big ass engine. Oh wait, thats what it is

Hey Vin! Its been a while. How the heck are ya?

Selling all my stuff because I am back in school and just don't have time or money.

I am doing everything I can to keep the Z though. I can't not have a badass car around, and the 240Z has been my fav car since my S14.

Anyway, the Cressida got traded for a 1994 Q45. Hella pimp. Then a pimp stole it. Kinda pissed about that.

Oh well. Thats life I guess. Still trying to track it down, but Oakland PD has got murders and drug dealers to sort out. I am pretty low on the priority list.

That sucks man!!!! My Brother owned a 91 Q45, there pretty bad ass rides. Sorry to here that your ride was stolen in lake merrit. I use to live down the street on Piedmont AVE, crime doesn't exist, well just a little.
I'm doing pretty good been laying low on a new heart medication that is suppose to save my life but it only makes me feel like shit.
Started moderating at club 240, and I've been asked to liven up that forum a bit. I'm stuck doing DIY mods, and don't have time to get out much.
Wanted to go to Altimont some time this year until the bad news went down.
This is just a shitty year for me....
Other than that I quit my job, and am taking my general Contractors crash coarse examination and had to spend $1000 bucks that I don't have.
Hope all is well with you when I'm in the Oakland area I'll hit you up, my brother still lives down the street from you.
