Vehicle speed sensor...

so i have no idea how i'm going to fix this, and i need to smog my car. i got a 3.63 ring gear in the differential, and it's throwing the speedometer off by about 15% or so.

anyone have an idea how to get this fixed? get a 3.63 ring gear speed sensor? from where?

since i have to get my car smogged, there's 2 ways to get the check engine light to go off, 1, unplug the bulb (pain in the ass) or 2, turn my ecu to diagnostic mode (easy), now does the car run differently when its in diagnostic mode? if so, how different? will it cause my car to fail smog?

Through the dealer you can order different pinion gears for the VSS to calibrate it correctly. They also have them in the Motorsports catalog.

On another note, where did you find a 3.63 gear? The lowest one that I've ever heard of is a 3.69.

my bad, its 4.36, is there a place i can get this sensor online? and will any nissan dealership have it?
