My oil pan was leaking so i took it off to put on some new RTV silicone gasket stuff, and i was wondering what the torque specs are for the oil pan before i put the silicone on and bolt it down, Thanks in advance.

The bolts should be torqued to 12-14 ft lbs.

I also drive a 96 and have the same problem.  How hard was it to take off and would you suggest any thing to make it easier?

I have a 95, but I don't think 95 and 96 should be different, but in the service manual it mention that the oil pan bolts should be torque down to 5.5.
