Sr Bottom Ends?

I heard a rumor that if you touch an SR bottom end that it will never be right again. I have a built bottom end and I just spun a bearing. I was woundering if anyone else has had this problem or heard this rumor.

Any help would be great!

Depends on who worked on it/how much experience they have.

Some builders have hands like god... others have their hands in places they should have them during business hours

but yeah some more info would help.

Basically, after you scatter the shit out of bearings (grind them to a mesh), it is VERY difficult to clean all of the bearing back out of the engine.

You figure you might dump another 1-2k into hard pars, ballance, gaskets and assembly? Another 4-6-- for a good condition shortblock is worth it.
