Does anyone know how I can convert .avi files to .wmp? Or DL a player to watch them? If I load them onto photobucket will it convert them for me? I shot some footage at NOPI drift pittsburgh I wanted to share with the community.

.wmp files don't exist .. ?

..if you upload a .avi to Photobucket, it turns into .FLV files.
There's an FLV player out there.

You need to rephrase your question, or something.

Nevermind I got them to work. Google searched smp4, that was the codec I needed it. DL'ed it and now they work in WMP.

i have VLC media player and the BS player that came with the free KLM codec packs. those two play any digital media that i have run into ever.

In general, though, I use WinAmp

I use vlc and the core for players. But if you need a converting program, check out vcd gear, its free and works well

WM player w/ K lyte codec pack. Handles anything I throw at it including MKV files.

Transcoder programs? There's a ton out there. Squeeze and Procoder pretty are it for me. Flix Pro for VP6 flash encoding.

To transcode from AVI to WMV I use Windows Media Encoder.
