hey guys got a question, does a manual transmission build up pressure or anything cause i have a hole in the bottom my tranny, dont ask why, but i do, and i wanna just cover it with duct tape for a day or 2 to get around locally... bad idea? its fucked already and im getting a new tranny, but do you think it will hold the fluids!??!?!?!???! let me know... thanks.

I can't even believe I read that. Duct tape will not hold any fluid in anything, period. Nor will it stick to the bottom of an oily, greasy transmission.

Actually seriously man, use some common sense. Dont drive it. Get it fixed at a real repair shop.

actually, ive seen jb weld on a tranny once. took a piece of thicker gauge sheet metal...cut it to size, and used jb weld to puddy it on.....it actually worked. (customer didnt have the $$ for a new transmission, so they had to make do)
