most turbo cars come with a "bypass valve" or "diverter valve" etc. releases pressure in the charge pipes that is created when the throttle closes. the compressor is still compressing creating a pressure spike. if the pressure isnt released you risk surging which is the pressurized air passing over the compressor blades in the opposite direction, stalling the compressor.
v bands are just a simpler more effective way of securing butt ends of pipes together. they come in all sizes. the pictures will show you. its just a lip on each pipe with a clamp that squeezes them together the tighter it gets. |

my tial aint all that loud.... 50mm valve on a t25 is overkill....i get quite a bit of surge than a soft pshhhhh from the tial..... ive heard it on large turbos and its much louder..... ive been contiplating switching the hks ssqv on my t3/t4 sr20 to the drift car (t25) and the tial on the drift car to the t3/t4 car....it would make sense.... the hks is more reponsive and the tial can take anything!

the tial isnt loud at all compared to the others... the RFL of course is super queer loud gayness - they leak often tho and ur car will run like piss. greddy, hks, blitz are all pretty noisy and they have distinct sounds (the blitz and greddy rs kinda sound the same, and the greddy s sounds kinda like a sneeze, HKS sounds like... if u dont know the hks sound i cant explain it... anyways, Tial is good for you if u wanna make big power, but its quiet unless ur running 20psi.

Get a Greddy Type R and you won't have to deal with gay ass blow off noises... Just the sound of air being released..
