s14 S14 Sr20det A/C problem HELP!!

I have a 95 240sx. I just got my a/c lines made for my s14 SR. After I finished installing the lines and the belt. I tried to turn on the a/c to test if the compressor would kick in, but it didn't. My a/c has not been recharged yet. Can that be the problem? Or is it wiring? If its the wiring which wire on the f4 plug is it?
I also notice I have two A/C wire plug in my car one comes from the SR engine harness located on the passenger side and the other is the original one that came from factory located on the driver side. The plug from the SR engine harness needs to be extended to the driver side in order for it to be plugged in to the compressor. I am currently using the one that came with the car. Which wire am i suppose to plug in??
Thanks

yes. vacuum down the system, then charge it to the correct hi and low side pressures, then see if the compressor kicks on. we'll worry about the wiring once you have the freon in it.
