Exclamation rear caliper rebuild kit Problems HELP!!!

ok about 2 weeks ago my rear brakes locked up and caused my calipers to get red hot and glow. Well my right rear brake system caught FIRE!
so i put it out and the next day i changed my brakes and found the seal was toast.

i just bought a rebuild kit from auto zone. so i screw the piston off clean it up and now when i try to replace the seal it seems like its not long enough to stretch along the piston and seal it. i have to put the seal around the caliper first then push the piston in and try to screw the piston , it aint workin. so i then try the put the seal on the piston and then screw it in, this way would allow me to actually screw the piston in but the seal never did fall into the 'lip' of the caliper.

please help soon cuz i have to get this done tomorrow morning cuz i have to be a work at 1.

btw i have a 91 240 fastback

The seal should fit on there fairly easily. Maybe they sold you the wrong part?
