5 speed s14 vs. auto Integra GS - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

well im driving home from my girlfriends last night... and this integra comes roaring up behind me.. only to slow down when he gets beside me.  then we are driving side by side and see the upcoming light turn yellow.  he didnt rev it or anything, so i figured he didnt wanna race... so I didnt get a good jump.  I still gunned it though, and it turns out he did wanna race.  we ended up being side by side the whole time.. up to 105 mph.  now one would think that a stock 5 speed s14 would be able to kill a 96 automatic integra GS with intake/exhaust without even trying.  so what gives?  was the fact that i didnt get a good jump and wasnt shifting aggresively that big a factor in us staying side by side the whole time?  i thought i'd kill.  

ps... dont yell at me for street racing, i know its dumb, i hardly ever do it.  i had to defend my honor tho against a gay ricey integra.

to me the only cars worth racing are ones that can blow your doors off. Don't rev your engine up, just when its time to go, take off leaving them without a clue.... then they come home and get on their messageboard and post about it like you just did......

How do you know it was an auto?.....I drove stick and I never revved when the lights was yellow nor when someone tried to "race" me.

hey stuff like this happens to everyone...but seriously I think something was up with your driving or maybe....just maybe your not use to pushing your car hard in all the right ways.....does that make sense?

how HP does the Integra GS make stock?

it makes 140 at the fly, but with an Auto its even worse and much lower, also the auto runs 17.1 in the 1/4 mile!! even with I/H/E he will get like 16.5 dats still slower than stock 240
