I'm nearing completion of the swap and trying to get it to turn over. Well i think i finally finished wiring the ecu.....the problem is the dash plug has a orange wire that is suppose to be the ignition to turn on the ecu. I get no voltage from this wire when i turn the key. All i'm looking for is a voltage on that wire and i'll be happy. My engine/oil/and ohter light are on in my dash. Then when i turn the key nothing absolutely nuth'n not even a relay click. Could it be the nuetral switch from the tranny?

i'm just look'n for a check list of what would make that wire not have power or what makes that wire have power.

Try emailing www.srswap.com ....or looking in their "troubleshooting" section.

What's up man. Did you do your wiring correctly? As far as I know, there are a few wires that have to be switched around by the battery and also some by where you are talking about. If you go to sport compact car's website, they have a tech article that show's on how to wire the harness up. Try checking that and get back.

Good Luck

yeah i have the pin lay out of the ecu. The power plug for the harness and one other changed if i remember right. The wiring harness is done correctly (came off a working sr in a 240). Yeah i own that issue of sport compact car. Pin 38 (if i remember correctly) is the ignition and there is another one for the ground. This has to do with the stock internal of my 240sx i think. i only trouble shooted if for an hour but i just figured it was stupid stuff like i found out i never pluged the clutch depression switch back in. But i'm wondering if my car thinks it's in gear some how or a relay is completely dead (might have got water in the box). There can't be too many reasons it wouldn't send a signal from. It's only from the battery to the ECU that i'm concerned about.

thnx for the help
