my clutch in my 91 240sx is out.. well.. i think its out.. its weird.. when i drive my car.. the rpms rise as i push on the throttle, but the car moves slowly.. my friends says its just my clutch.. could it be a transmission problem?

anyways, i can't afford a brand new clutch right now.. i found a 89 tranny and engine with an almost new clutch.. does anyone know if i can fit a cluthc from a ka24e into my 91 ka24de? does the entire tranny from the ka24e bolt onto the ka24de? if so, i might as well buy and replace the whole tranny..

Don't get the stock clutch for a 91.  It sucks.  I made this mistake about 2 weeks ago.  I saw on 240sx.org that a clutch from an old 240z will fit on our ka, and has a lot better grip.  It's in the FAQ's at 240sx.org if you want to check it out.  I'm guessing this is true, but I have never heard anything about it on zilvia.

Ummm...I believe this would be the reason:

If he can't afford a new stock clutch then he sure as hell can't afford a centerforce or ACT clutch.

think this way
part is only 1/2 the price
unless u know how to put in a clutch yourself (also u need to like having to change it)

why would you put in a old clutch?

well.. actually heres the story.. the 91 has a clutch problem and i got the 89 laying around with a clutch that works and its just sitting there.. since im goin to rip everything out on the 89 and basically turn it into a project car i was jus wondering if i can swap the clutches in..

i do have money for a new clutch, but since i plan to turbo i dont want to waste money on a new street clutch.. btw, im not driving both of these cars.. i just want to drive my 91 ocassionally while the 89 is out of commision but i have another daily beater.. 96 altima rolling on blackies.. LoL..
