FC 4 piston calipers, and z32 master brake cylinder??

i am fabbing up some brackets to put some fc 4 piston calipers on my s13. i have a funny felling that my stock MC will not be up to snuff. will the z32 MC do what i need it to do??

get the 15/16. i have a 1 inch BMC Z32 and i'm sure it will be overkill for just the front calipers

You need to figure out the total surface area of the pistons in the FC calipers and compare it to the total surface area of the pistion in the z-32 and the O.E. s-13 calipers. You should be able to guestimate the master cylinder bore size that you need from there.

area = pi * r^2.

add up the number of pistons.

sliding calipers, multiply by 2.

by why fab up OEM FC brakes? if anything your better off fabbing brackets for some sti/evo brembos, or even the FD brakes would be better then FC brakes...

or better yet, 300z for the bolt on win.

Thats awesome! Let me seen them brackets! I was thinking of fabbing one too and I have two pairs of FC front calipers lying around somewhere in my garage. I already have the aluminum 30mm Z32 caliper on my 240 but oh well.. Let me know!

i chose the fc brakes for 2 reasons

1. they are 4 piston calipers, cant get much better then that

2. they are free

i just bought the 1" from the classifieds, cant get much better then $55

when i am done making the brackets, i will post some detailed pictures.

^I bought like 3 pairs thinking that they were worth something but they aren't worth crap. I gave a pair to my brother for his FC and the rest are just lying around. I guess if someone started selling brackets for them then maybe they will be worth something.
