redtop O2 sensor wiring question for universal O2

I have a couple things to finish up on my swap and might finally have a chance to be back in town this weekend and work on it. I was wondering if I could possible just get a universal O2 sensor and wire that into the jdm harness for my redtop, cause the O2 sensor that came with the motor has a large dent in it and don't want to have to weld in a bung if it is broken and I could just replace it with a universal one. Anyone done this or do I have to go with another jdm O2 sensor?

Search my posts for o2 sensor. Everybody else who is clueless shouldn't respond.

I went through a lot of problems with this as well, and have a bunch of posts on the topic.
