s13 Electric fans help, one not working

Just bought a used set of flex-a-lite radiator fans and the passenger side fan is stalled somehow. Here is what is happening:

Wired both fans into one main wire (14 gauge) and went to a switch so the it would turn on both fans at once.
Connected the wire to battery power and only the drivers side fan would barely spin and move very little air. The wire would also get warm.
Disconnected the passenger side fan and only wired in the drivers side fan. Connected the power and the d-side fan came on at full power.

What would cause the p-side fan to not work and how would I go about fixing it

On the side that is not working.
Trying testing that fan up separately.
Ground 1 Wire, and put the other wire to a 12v source. Hopefully the fan will react and start spinning.

If that doesn't work. Most likely the motor for that fan is shot.

You could have possibly overpowered the passenger side motor for the fan.
Did you just buy these? or have you had these fans for awhile?

Had a similar problem but I was a nub and grounded it at a bad place... Check your ground! Hope that's it!

Let us know...

Take that shit off right now. Do it right son! There are many threads on the internet that will teach you how to do it right. If you arent using a relay, you arent doing it right. Im saving your car from a potential fire, be thankful for that.

^Yup.

Make sure to check your ground.
You want it on a sweet ground spot.

To test the fan,
Put the + wire to the battery
and put the - to the ground on the battery.

Just to see if it works.

Just bought the fans, but they are used. I have a fuse on the setup in case it draws too much, don't need to bother with relay or anything fancy, its a race car only. I'll try your suggestions...hopefully something works. Thanks
