greddy e manage ultimate? yay or nay?

well, i recently just did a bunch of bolt ons to my s14 kouki =D

injen intake
dc sports header
2.5" high flow catco
5zigen exhaust 2.75"

well, my question is that the engine feels great and all but would it benefit from a tuning machine like the greddy e manage ultimate? it looks pretty neat that tuning device i did a search for it and get mixed results. i want to keep my car obd II and pass smog so a stand alone is out of the question. eventually i want to supercharge this ka also =D so i was wondering will this thing work with that too?

what i want from my ka is 250hp at the crank when supercharged of course, obd II passable/compliant, and pure response, stock looking to the max so when cops pull me over they wont think much. you think i can do this with the greddy e manage ultimate? anyone with any experience using it please chime in =D.

i know some people are gonna say get an aem, or something crazy full stand alone. i'm sure that's great and all but, like i said my goals are different.

thanks for the help in advance!

250 isn't much ka or sr, maybe just a safc will do and t25 turbo with supporting mods.

t25 is a bit to small for a ka24de to be running .... i suggest gt28 or larger. Otherwise the turbo is ganna run out of breath up top (blowing air but not doin much of anything) realy i would do a gt28rs but thats me.
The idea of supercharging it sounds like fun but I've only seen custom setups never a kit for the KA.... which usually mean speading some loot to get things fabed up so it works like it should.

Dont waste your time on safc. Its just fine if you want to fine tune for jus an intake and eghaust on a realy mild daily car, but with something like added forced induction to a NA car i would do the Emanage Ult or better. You will be happier with the results and the car will last alot longer and be shit load more reliable.

hope this helps........

If you looking for one, I have a friend that is selling one for cheap... used for his supra, but never ran right cause it doesn't really work in a JZA80 97 spec.

But he will benefit from an Emanage cause it controls injector timing, individual injector duty, MAFS change, Rev limiter... there is a lot on it that SAFC doesn't do...

plus you run it in closed loop once you monitor your a/f and make a map for the maf where you can actually run without one, but still i'd just go with either a rom tune or ems rather than a piggyback.

Emanage is garbage
AFC is garbage

Piggy backs are a joke, I know by experience.

I have data logged how shitty they are.

You might as well just add a resistor inline on your Air flow signal wire

that's a lot cheaper way to lose horsepower than the AFC.

PS. The only place you SHOULD NOT CUT COSTS is in specific Engine management and tuning.

Otherwise all you have is a bucket of parts.

How useful is a guitar or a piano when it has no strings? ...think about it.
