knock sensor ground?
my car would throw a code 34 every now and then, so i finally got around to replacing it.
when i was cleaning up the wiring, the harness that connects to the sensor itself only had 1 pin, and it was for the signal wire. i opened up the wiring and saw that the ground pin from the harness just grounded to the shield of the harness itself and unto the engine. yes, i searched. is this normal? |

Yes. The shield is grounded through the harness, the sensor itself grounds to the engine block.
