does it spit out of overflow tank's hose? next to the radiator cap?
When your radiator cap reaches a certain psi of tempature, it pushes out fluid to your overflow tank...and when cooled down, it sucks it back into the motor. try running a coolant resevoir.

Where is it spraying out of? If it's coming out of the radiator core then you might have a crack. If it's coming from the cap or any fittings, it's probably a bad fitting.

You don't NEED to have an overflow tank.
It just gives the coolant somewhere to go instead of spilling all over the place when your coolant system builds pressure and opens the cap. Is your car starting to overheat? Replace your thermostat and radiator cap and then bleed your system fully. Then let us know what's happening.

ok, you dont need a over flow tank, but if you dont want to refill your radiator every few weeks, then i highly suggest getting one. when the pressure builds up in the radiator, the cap wll relieve the pressue and send it down the over flow hose into the over flow tank. that way your radiator doesnt explode. then when the car cools down and the coolant in the rad condenses, it creates a vacuum inside the rad, itll pull open the other valve in the rad cap and try to suck back the coolant it sprayed out like a fat kid drinkin a milkshake through a straw. if there is no overflow tank, then its gonna suck in air. after awhile of spittin out coolant and suckin air back in, your coolant level will be low enough that there wont be enough coolant to properly maintain the correct temp of the motor and youll overheat. you will have to watch the coolant levels in your rad pretty often to make sure that doesnt happen. just get a overflow tank and save yourself a headache.

use a gatorade bottle if you wanna be cheap.
Find out where its coming from... diagnosing these problems should be easy. I been doin that stuff since i was like 14. If its from an old or cracked hose = easy fix. If there is a small hole in the radiator , you might get lucky to remove the radiator, and patch it wiht JB weld for a while.

Uh, ethylene glycol is needed in the coolant mix as it does many things to include raising the boiling point of water. Run a mix of 80 water 20 antifreeze at the minimum. |

Meh, I ran for ages without an overflow tank.
And, instead of letting the car overheat/cool down and spewing/slurping coolant, why not just fix whatever is causing the problem in the first place.
