CA modding a CA, whats my options???

i'm wanting a CA... and i'm wondering whats the best things to mod one. like maybe a T3 turbo, how much work would having a T3 put on a CA??? and can the stock 7psi be changed to 14 like the sr??? i'm really new into CA's, due to my old interest in the SR. whats the info on the stock CA... i know i should use search, but i'm using my school's computer and for some reason search isn't allowed by the blocker b/s... thanks.

Get a motor first. Put it in your car then start asking these questions.

Once you do that you'll find that you'll start asking very different questions.

a 2530 will suit a ca just fine. (research it if you don't know what I'm talking about)

Stock PSI is 10 it can be taken to 14 safely iirc. T3 will not fit on a stock manifold so an aftermarket one would need to be bought or made. T28's are more popular to save money cause it fits on the stock manifold. I guess the ca18det archive got lost in the forum conversion Oh well its just a search away whenever you get home.

CA

for a cheap fmic, get a saab (i forget the exact model, but when you get it, i'm sure you'll find the link, or I'll find it for you). or a lot of people use Supra MKIII Side mounts. Everyone says the stock intercooler doesn't do a good job.

Go over to www.sxoc.com its a 240sx (actually 200sx) car forum. They have a lot of info on CAs, and also if you have ever heard of Norris Designs. They make turbo kits for the CA, they have a couple for different HP outputs, they also sell parts. But someone on SXOC told me that someone in the For Sale section will sell you basically all the parts you need for cheaper.

But like someone else said it would be better to get the engine first, and get it up and running, I just got bored and stumbled on SXOC and learned a little about the CA. But they have some nice cars over in England.

No S13 CA18DET ever came with 7psi of stock boost.

The first thing you need to do is ditch the stock manifold/turbo and down pipe. They are complete crap. The fuel system needs work too. A decent turbo and fuel to match will see a lot of gains.

You wont be able to get much from turning up the boost on a stock set up because of the inefficent turbo and nazi fuel cutoff.
